1. France reported 3 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 23, France reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Mayenne and 2 other locations, resulting in 10 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, and 14 culled.

 

2. Poland reported 14 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry

On March 23, 24 and 26, Poland reported 14 outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Greater Poland Voivodeship and 3 other locations, resulting in 20 wild birds infected and died, and 81,000 poultry infected with 4,991 deaths.

 

3. The Netherlands reported 7 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry

On March 23 and 26, the Netherlands reported 7 outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Drenthe Province and 5 other locations, resulting in 7 wild birds infected and died, 190 poultry infected and died, and 36,000 culled.

 

4. Norway reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 23 and 27, Norway reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Agder County and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

On March 23, Hungary reported 13 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Hajdú-Bihar County and 3 other locations, resulting in 16 wild boar infected and died.
