On March 23, France reported 3 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Mayenne and 2 other locations, resulting in 10 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, and 14 culled.

2. Poland reported 14 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry

On March 23, 24 and 26, Poland reported 14 outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Greater Poland Voivodeship and 3 other locations, resulting in 20 wild birds infected and died, and 81,000 poultry infected with 4,991 deaths.

3. The Netherlands reported 7 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry

On March 23 and 26, the Netherlands reported 7 outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Drenthe Province and 5 other locations, resulting in 7 wild birds infected and died, 190 poultry infected and died, and 36,000 culled.

4. Norway reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 23 and 27, Norway reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Agder County and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

5. Belgium reported 7 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 23, Belgium reported 7 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in the Flemish Region, resulting in 9 wild birds infected and died.

On March 23 and 26, Czech Republic reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Hradec Králové Region and one other location, resulting in 5 poultry infected and died.

On March 23, Romania reported 10 outbreaks in wild boar and 2 in domestic pigs of African swine fever (ASF) in Sălaj County and 4 other locations, resulting in 15 wild boar infected and died, and among domestic pigs, 24 infected, 13 deaths, and 11 culled.

2. Hungary reported 13 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On March 23, Hungary reported 13 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Hajdú-Bihar County and 3 other locations, resulting in 16 wild boar infected and died.

3. Moldova reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar

On March 24, Moldova reported 1 outbreak of ASF in wild boar in Leova District, resulting in 1 wild boar infected and died.

4. Lithuania reported 95 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On March 25, Lithuania reported 95 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Alytus County and 2 other locations, resulting in 168 wild boar infected and died.
